Finish with Finis Freestyler

Postby marting » Mon Jan 07, 2013 4:29 pm

I've been using the Finis Freestyler paddles to help sort out a persistent crossover at the front end of the stroke. This seems to help, and hand entry is improving. But the paddles often go wonky at the finish as I begin the recovery, and don't realign fully on entry. Tips anyone?

Marting,
I think these paddles are great. My hand entry is improving as well. I have to accentuate the hand exiting the water at my hip to keep the paddles aligned. It takes a little practice.
Good luck
Karl

Hi Martin,

It's probably something in your stroke that's causing that. You could be pulling through very wide or more likely, crossing the centre line under your body as you pull through? Either of those two things will cause the paddle to become unstable at the back...
