Tumble turn - out of breath

I'm a reasonably fit swimmer/triathlete - 13.30/1km (pool), but whenever I swim in a 25m pool I struggle when we are doing 400m+ at a hard pace. A lot of athletes of my age group are way better than me


1.55/200m - that's only a few seconds off Olympic qualification.. and quicker than the womens gold medallist swam at the last Olympics. You sure you don't mean 1.55/100m...

That looks cold and gloomy, where was that filmed??

Might be better off having film done when swimming without a wetsuit as that could be masking more issues.

I blow out, only when I am upside down otherwise water goes in my nose. So the first part of the flip, I hold my breath. I tend to hit the walls with my toes first, if I land them flat footed or on the heel I can sometimes hurt my heel.

I've tried lots of different things, washing up liquid, spit, soap and all work to a degree. I've settled on anti-fog spray for goggles though, it's effective and more convenient

High elbow catch - how to know if I'm doing it right

I've been working hard on my high elbow catch and am feeling much more efficient in the water. Not necessarily more powerful, but I'm definitely quicker. But I don't know if I'm doing the high elbow catch correctly. I try and keep an eye on my elbows, ensuring they are near the surface (as a guide) ...
